GEN HIDEMORI / PROFILE

Gen Hidemori

Born in Nishinari Ward, Osaka City, in 1956.
Born a Korean resident of Japan, he spent his childhood being passed among his father’s mistresses’ homes.

After junior high school he devoted himself to making money. In 2000, a blood donation revealed that he carried a leukemia-related virus. The discovery changed his life completely, and he resolved to dedicate himself to serving others and society.

In 2002, drawing on his knowledge of both the public and hidden sides of society, he founded what became known as the Kabukicho Kakekomidera. Since then, he has responded to more than 50,000 consultations.
